Rev Arc Snowmobile Ramp Review

This is my review of the Rev Arc snowmobile ramp. 

I’m Chaz, an avid snowmobiler and winter sports enthusiast. I’ve researched the Rev Arc ramp in-depth to help you determine if it’s a good option to load your sled into a pickup or trailer. 

The Rev Arc snowmobile ramp is a sturdy and secure tool to get any sled loaded up quickly into a truck. It’s strong enough to work with nearly any snowmobile and has a folding design that makes it easy to store and transport. 

This review will show you my thoughts and experience with this particular ramp, and I’ll highlight some of the stand-out features that make it such a quality choice.

Overview

The Rev Arc Snowmobile ramp is one of the top options available to get your sled quickly and easily loaded into a truck or trailer. 

It has a very functional design that doesn’t take long to set up but will stay stable and secure while driving your sled up into the bed. 

It’s strong enough to work with just about any snowmobile, and that versatility adds value because you can use it for years, even if you get a new sled during that time. 

I’ve had some experiences with snowmobile ramps where they were loose, wobbly, and generally a little sketchy. But this option from Rev Arc stays in place time and time again for performance you can count on. 

The ramp is on the expensive side, but you get an excellent design and high-quality construction. This thing is built to last. 

My Detailed Review

This ramp is one of the best I have ever used. It’s effective without being too fancy or overbuilt. It’s also extremely stable and attaches well to load safely in a variety of conditions. It also folds up for quick transport and easy storage. 

Ease of Use

The Rev Arc ramp is very easy to use. While most ramps aren’t that complicated, some take extra effort to fully secure before loading. This one is simple, effective, and straightforward by design. 

It has raised ski guides that line up the skis on your sled correctly, so you don’t have to worry about getting things off-center or unbalanced. It also attaches to a tailgate very quickly and intuitively. 

Strength/Stability

With a 1,500-pound capacity, the ramp can handle even larger snowmobiles with ease. You won’t need to worry about overloading it, and it’s strong enough to work with 99% of factory sleds based on this weight capacity alone. 

It also comes with Traction Control Technology that helps prevent any slipping or sliding during the loading process. A safety strap is included that attaches to the truck for added peace of mind, while the tailgate lips provide a solid anchor point. 

Cost/Value

The ramp is on the expensive side, but I think it still has excellent value. It’s well-designed and constructed, meaning you’ll get reliable performance for years. I wouldn’t expect the Rev Arc ever to wear out. 

There are cheaper options out there, but I haven’t seen one nearly as effective, strong, and easy to use. You’ll pay a little more upfront, but for an effective solution to sled loading, this ramp is hard to beat. 

Storage/Transport 

The Rev Arc also stands out with storage and transportation in mind. The entire ramp only weighs 47 pounds, so you can operate it without assistance pretty efficiently. It’s not too bulky and has good access points to lift and move around. 

The folding design makes it simple to store or put in the truck alongside your sled. The track ladder folds in half, and then the ski tracks fold over that, allowing for a slim profile that can be tucked away in a garage when not in use. 

The Alternatives

While I think that the Rev Arc ramp is easily one of the best options on the market, there are a few others that I would recommend as well.

1. Black Ice Snowmobile Ramp

This is another one of the top ramps on the market. It is a tri-fold style that is easy to use and features strong and secure aluminum construction. The ramp has a 1500-pound capacity and comes with tie straps for safety and good grips on the tailgate lips and ski tracks. 

2. Caliber Bi-Fold Ramp Pro

I prefer tri-fold style ramps, but bi-folds like this one are very easy to use and have a smaller profile. This is one of the best bi-fold options around and folds down to 20 inches wide for quick and easy transport. It only has a 1200-pound capacity, so not the best option for large sleds. 

3. CargoSmart Aluminum Trifold Ramp

If you want the ability to load other machines in addition to a snowmobile, this ramp from CargoSmart is worth looking into. It has a simple trifold design that will let you load a sled, motorcycle, or ATV quickly and effectively. 

My Verdict

I think the Rev Arc snowmobile ramp is one of the best options you can find. It’s reliable, strong, secure, and easy to transport. It is a little more expensive than the competition, but you can expect it to last nearly a lifetime. This one is highly recommended.
