You can’t drive your snowmobile everywhere, and a trailer can be very useful if you need to haul your sleds to the trails or backcountry. There are many different options for trailer brands, and knowing the best ones will help you get a solid product.
I’m a lifelong snowmobiler who lives for the winter. I’ve used many different snowmobile trailers over the years, and I know what to look for in the best brands and models out there.
This post will provide you with information on the best snowmobile trailer brands. I’ll tell you what makes the brand so good and which of their products are worth looking into.
Let’s get after it.
Table of Contents
Triton makes some of the best snowmobile trailers you can find. This brand puts out options in a number of different shapes and sizes, so you can match your hauling needs with a high-quality trailer that will keep your sleds safe and secure.
The TC Series is one of Triton’s most popular options, and this is sort of a clamshell hybrid trailer that gives you a fold-out ramp and plenty of room to store two snowmobiles side-by-side easily.
Aluma is another solid choice for a trailer brand, and I like most of the open style options that they have released over the years. This brand will have you covered if you are on the lookout for a more affordable option than a fully enclosed trailer.
The 8605F-Tilt Bed Trailer is a great design that tilts down to the ground, so you don’t need to use an extra ramp to get your machines on and off. It also comes with a 5-year warranty, so you know it’s built to last and ready for action.
Aluma has plenty of other options if you are looking for a fully enclosed or larger trailer as well, but I think their open models are top-notch.
If you want a larger capacity trailer that features an excellent design and plenty of room to store cargo in addition to your sleds, check out Featherlite. This is a pretty well-known Idaho-based brand that has several enclosed models that are well worth investing in.
The Featherlite Model 1610V is an excellent option that features a fold-out door in the back and can be customized to a floor plan that meets your particular needs or preferences. You can also choose from several lengths and heights with this model.
Blizzard makes many excellent snowmobile trailers, and they feature an all-aluminum construction that is built to last without adding a ton of extra weight. This makes them a good option for anyone with limited towing capacity or looking for a lighter trailer.
The V-Nose Trailer is their most popular snowmobile-specific option, and these are available in several sizes to match your hauling needs. You can also customize your color to match your truck at no additional charge, which is a pretty sweet feature.
One of the most popular trailer brands I’ve seen out west over the last several years is Charmac. This is another Idaho-based company that makes some really awesome trailers for moving your snowmobiles around during the winter.
The Elite Snow Sport is a popular model with all-aluminum construction and deck-over build that maximizes space without adding extra weight. It also has a cable assist rear ramp to make loading and unloading a breeze.
If you want to take the design process into your own hands, Charmac also lets you custom-build with any unique amenities you desire.
Mirage is another brand that focuses on letting you customize your snowmobile trailer to meet the specifications you want. You can choose from one of their base models and start the build-out process from there.
The Xtreme/Teton Sport is a great model for snowmobilers to explore, and this will give you excellent bones to create the snowmobile trailer of your dreams. This one also has a front ramp, which is a nice touch to make unloading multiple sleds easy.
The customization process can add costs, but if you are a hardcore rider who wants the best of the best and are particular about your setup, it’s the only way to go.
7. Trails West
If you want the most snowmobile-specific bells and whistles that money can buy, you’ll want to check out the TrailsWest trailers and the RPM Chris Burandt Edition in particular. This is one of the coolest trailers I’ve seen in a while.
The model in question here comes with so many additions and features you’ll feel like a professional rider even if you just get out on the weekends. It has a heated system to keep your gear dry, a hydraulic jack, and a bumping stereo system, just to name a few.
You are obviously going to pay top dollar here for all the add-ons and extras, but if you aren’t on a budget, this is a great option.
8. Pace American
Pace American is another top trailer brand that offers a number of solid snowmobile haulers. You can choose from open or enclosed trailers, and their models cover a wide price range to match any budget restrictions you might have.
I like the Backcountry model a lot and think it will meet the needs of many different riders. It comes with rear and front ramps to make loading and unloading easy, a 3-year warranty, and can be customized in lengths between 17 and 29 feet.
If you are looking for a crossover trailer, Mission makes some of the best of this style in the business. The design of these has everything a regular rider wants and needs, and you get plenty of extras that help you easily haul your sleds around.
The trailers come with built-in tie-down bars that allow you to secure your sleds in seconds and a helpful front access door so you can store and easily access extra gear. The rear ramp with spring assist also makes it easy to load everything up.
If you want options regarding what size and style of a trailer to get, check out Legend. This brand has several models that will work well for snowmobilers, and you can choose from lightweight open tilts to fully enclosed multi-sled haulers.
The Tilt Utility Aluminum Open is a solid option for anyone who just needs to haul and single sled and doesn’t want to spend a ton of money. Its easy-to-use tilt design makes loading a breeze, and it’s built to last.
Nearly every snowmobiler will need a trailer at some point, and it always pays to invest in a model that will give you years of reliable use. Every brand you see here delivers high-quality snowmobile trailers that will meet the needs of a variety of riders.About Chaz Wyland
